This is mainly because the owner has become qualified at their job and most likely does it better then anyone else, the owner finds it very difficult to let someone else do the work because it is going to be his/her reputation on the line.

For the business to grow the owner needs to relinquish the work onto other people, they may not be as good as the owner but as long as he provides them with strict step by step instructions on what to do, then they should be able to perform the job to a competent level and over time be as good if not better then the owner.

Once they have been taught what to do they should be able to do it without your help.
